Elbow crease pain is discomfort that occurs in the inner medial part of the elbowβthe bend or crease you feel when you flex your arm. This pain can result from several factors, often related to overuse or irritation of the soft tissues in that area. This pain can occur due to various reasons. The ulnar nerve runs close to the inner elbow crease; pressure or stretching can cause numbness, tingling, or pain in this area.
Inflammation of the small fluid-filled sac bursa near the elbow can lead to pain and swelling in the crease. Apply an ice pack wrapped in a towel to the affected area for 15β20 minutes several times a day to reduce inflammation. Use an elbow brace or compression wrap to stabilize the joint and lessen strain on the tendons and nerves. Once the acute pain subsides, perform gentle stretches and strengthening exercises to improve flexibility and support the elbowβthis may help prevent future issues.
Massage for five to 10 minutes, two to three times a day on highlighted area see figure. For point stimulation, use a probe or a blunt object to apply gentle pressure.
