To browse Academia. Anaphylactic reactions may occur after ingestion of meat from different mammals, mainly beef and pork, but reactions to lamb, rabbit or horse have also been reported.
In particular, pork kidney has been shown to trigger symptoms that were more severe and occurred within a shorter delay. Proteins were purified by affinity chromatography and identified by Edman sequencing and peptide mass fingerprinting. Allergenicity was assayed in basophil activation and skin prick test. IgE-binding to both proteins was lost by periodate treatment, resulting in oxidation of carbohydrates.
Allergenicity was confirmed by activation of patient basophils and positive skin prick tests. Allergenicity and clinical relevance of these proteins were confirmed in patients with delayed anaphylaxis to red meat by skin prick test and basophil activation. A globalisation created the opportunities of growth and development for enterprises as well as many challenges to face.
Enterprises are forced to compete and internationalize their activities if they prefer to stay on the market. The article analyses the earlier studies on the issues of internationalization of enterprises, intercultural competence and its significance in international business; the concepts of culture, intercultural competence and internationalization formulated by different authors are presented, their features are distinguished; various instruments to evaluate and improve intercultural competence and the significance of intercultural competence for internationalization of enterprises are discussed.

Williams When white men exploited enslaved women's sexuality and sexual reproduction, enslaved men and slaveholding women were forced to bear witness, creating a web of pain, insecurity, jealousy, and contempt that entangled both slaves and slaveholders. I argue that through these experiences, enslaved women and men developed a consciousness of enslaved women's vulnerability to this kind of abuse that shaped their everyday decisions regarding marriage, family, and personal safety.
