Malerie is an undergrad at Ohio State University and is currently gearing up to enjoy her first summer in Columbus. Although Malerie began working with us a few months ago, we just got around to doing an interview since she has been so busy making sure all you fine folks received your beloved Two Dollar Radio titles.
Unfortunately for us, Malerie's time with Two Dollar Radio has come to an end. She's been a real treat to work with and we'll definitely miss her around here. We want to give a big thank you and farewell to Malerie as she skates off into the sunset to enjoy her summer break. I love film and TV. They utilize so many different forms of creativity while being produced it is insane, so I try to watch as much as possible. I spend as much time as I can exploring neighborhood, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts.
Q: Can you name a few of your favorite indie press books? Q: You were taking a publishing class at OSU simultaneously as interning with us. MH: While I think I knew it subconsciously, interning here definitely taught me just how much of an intensive, hands on business publishing is.
I love the tactile difference that indie press has over big press. Everyone involved with Two Dollar Radio works directly and really hard on projects. We talk to anyone we can to both share things about our books and make personal connections.
This is where the heart and soul of publishing today lives: in small houses like Two Dollar Radio! Q: You seem to be into music a good deal.
