Student-led community platform: the perfect zero-effort solution to boost student experience, conversion , and retention among students. Goin' makes sure that students can build friendships already from offer holder status onwards. This way, you can add a social layer to the student experience and to the student life as it's hard to engage students during their 'waiting period' between offer and arrival. We make sure they already get connected and have some friends Goin' to the same institution.
That makes them way more confident, excited and likely to enroll and retain. Goin' is something complementary, an additional, authentic layer of communication for students many to many communication focused on making friends.
Goin' makes sure students have friendships and that sense of belonging already prior to getting to the universit y. This way, students directly feel emotionally attached to the university. With over 1 million messages exchanged on the platform per month, we are by far the largest student community platform in higher education. Goin' is a student-led community: it's a platform that costs zero time and effort for the university and we provide all the services around it to make it work.
This approach allows universities to offer a robust community experience without additional resources or administrative burden. I think that Goin' came along at just the right time and responded to a gap in the market. It occupies the 'keep warm' space between offer and enrolment and allows offer holders to build their social network in a closed environment with other UCL offer holders.
The platform is really easy to use and requires minimal investment in time and resource from the university. What I like about it is that it keeps students excited about joining their university by allowing them to build connections on multiple levels, including nationality, home town, studies or hobbies. They will already have made friends when they get to UCL, and this definitely have a positive effect on their arrival experience.
