A little of everything! I loved the banter and sexual tension within Christmas in Coconut Creek, which caught my attention right away. It was a spicy read with just enough holiday vibes and a hit of angst. I loved it! Easily my favorite of the week. I also really enjoyed Mickey Chambers, which had a great opposites attract dynamic with such chemistry. I loved the broody, widower hero as well as the bubbly woman who brought him back to life.
Only minor issues held me back from calling it 5 stars. I had a good time reading An Unexpected Path, which felt very much like a debut, but one with a lot of potential. I also liked the unique background of the heroine as well as the layered storyline. I also shared my series review of Chestnut Springs by Elsie Silver, which is an excellent, standout group of books. I kinda love the process, because it really gets my TBR into better shape and allows me to start the new year fresh.
So you might not be seeing a ton of reviews from me at the moment, but I am doing more reading than ever! If you read my Teaser Thursday post found here , you know that there are some exciting books on the way soon!
A romantic comedy debut from 1 bestelling science fiction romance author Karissa Kinword! There are a few things Coconut Creek has that Pine Ridge does not. Palm trees, sandy beaches, butterfly museumsβinfuriatingly attractive special forces veterans. It just so happens the retired fighter pilot is in somewhat of a rut of his own, and the circumstances around their coincidental meeting and unavoidable physical attraction are the perfect excuse for a festive fling.
The rules are simple: Ophelia teaches him how to date again, and Frankie shows her exactly what she should be demanding behind closed doors. Friends with benefits until the ball drops in the New Year.
