The bilateral aid program focuses on a range of areas. The overarching goal of SIJP is to strengthen the legal system and increase access to justice for communities across Solomon Islands. SIJP will support the SIG to meet current justice sector needs in Honiara and the provinces, while developing its capacity to manage the justice system with reducing donor resources in the longer term.
They will have overarching oversight and responsibility for the inputs of advisors working in SIG justice and corrections agencies. The Team Leader will also be immediately responsible for the management of two part time coordinators and three support staff ensuring they deliver on all operational requirements.

We are seeking a proactive individual for the role of Quarantine and Biosecurity Specialist. The candidate will have previous experience related to biosecurity and trade facilitation, preferably in the Pacific region.
Your previous skills relating to agriculture, market access, international negotiation, quarantine and institutional strengthening will be essential to this role, as well as an understanding of sanitary and phytosanitary principles and procedures. Working as part of a regionally-based team, you will have the ability to establish strong working relationships with national counterparts and stakeholders, demonstrate initiative, possess good time management skills and have experience working with different cultural groups.
