At the Zaha Cultural Center, Queen Rania joined the children as they participated in a variety of fun activities that included sports games, drawing, molding play-dough as well as other interactive activities that helped them learn about preserving natural resources and the environment. They enjoyed a number of interactive exhibits each designed to address a different topic; such as arts, science, chemistry, the environment, and astronomy.
The children ended their day at the Amman-based SOS Village and played with other children living there. The SOS village was first established in Jordan in to take care of orphaned and abandoned children under the age of After they graduate from the village, they get transferred to the SOS Youth Houses where they are guided to become capable adults ready to start their lives as independent individuals.
They continue their education in public and private schools and are encouraged by the village to continue their higher education with the help of Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, which was established by Her Majesty Queen Rania in The villages accept orphaned children with ages ranging between toddlers and 14 year olds.
