The narrative is pretty standard thriller material involving murders and double-crosses. Without the AI element, it would have been significantly less interesting.
The film quickly mutates into a combination of thriller, horror and sci-fi, skilfully handled by writer-director Drew Hancock. A superbly crafted, twisty little gem, filled with dark humor and just the right amount of gore. Not overdone, not brutally graphic, just enough to highlight the violence..
