New court documents show exactly how police tracked down a man they said killed one of his customers on an adult website. On Friday, the Oklahoma City Police Department was called to an apartment complex near Minnie Lane, where officers found year-old Michael Joseph Waters shot to death in the parking lot.
Detectives interviewed a security guard, who told them that he didn't know the victim. He said he heard the shot and drove to help. He was later released, but detectives began searching for the victim's missing phone. They found it discarded off of Interstate and Sooner Road, 17 miles away from the crime scene. On the phone were texts and calls between the security guard and the victim, according to court documents.

Investigators said the suspect then admitted to knowing Waters, telling police that the victim had purchased "content" from his page on an adult website called "OnlyFans. The security guard said Waters became obsessed with him, calling him over and over until he finally agreed to pick him up, according to court documents.
But the security guard said he didn't kill him. He told police that the victim had gotten out of his car and was chasing a random male for an unknown reason when he heard the shot.
