The city was formed after The Move and is home to dozens of businesses and residents. It is the most developed city in all of Eliland, being the capital city of all national governments that have ruled during OBW 5. The land on which Silver Valley City now sits was initially canvassed in the early days of OBW 5, when BrokenHerobrine was tasked with finding a suitable area to succeed Desertview. Traveling on horseback, his initial expedition yielded promising results. Subsequent expeditions confirmed the location as suitable for a new settlement, and the nether highway Eliland Iceway-1 was built to facilitate the moving of players.
The location was chosen because of its similarities to Birch Ridge, which many consider to have been one of the greatest cities of OBW. For example, the new location had similar features like its location on a river, the surrounding mountains, and the nearby taiga. The city was officially given its name on January 9th. It is where players first built their houses when the city was settled, and has largely remained a quiet, suburban area. The building style and smaller scope of builds owes to the fact that advanced technology mods had not yet been installed, and players lacked the tools and resources to embark on mega-projects.
The Industrial Park was the next area developed in Silver Valley, expanding the city's footprint eastward. As its name suggests, it is the home of numerous industrial factories and warehouses. Newer construction expanded this district's footprint across the Silver Valley River, with hi-tech modern factories.
Around the same time as Industrial Park was developed, so was Space Shore. Though it is not as densely built, Space Shore is home to several space companies for which its name was given. Further development in this district has stalled due to the rough terrain and large trees dotting the mega taiga landscape.
Later expansion of the city moved south from the Industrial District, forming what is now Downtown. It began with a necessity for additional government and business space.
