On Sunday, Olson was charged with five separate counts in Milwaukee County, including kidnapping, theft and burglary. According to a criminal complaint obtained Monday, officers were called to th and Beloit on Nov.
Officers recovered a phone that may have been used by the suspect. Officers concluded later the woman was likely kidnapped from the Casa Di Giorgio restaurant. The victim says a man resembling the defendant, Olson, got into the passenger side of the vehicle after she left the restaurant.
She had met the man inside while she was drinking a regular glass of wine at the bar. She says after the defendant got into the car, he told her he had a gun and that she should drive. At first, he wanted to go to a bank, but she reminded him it was Thanksgiving and banks were closed.
The defendant had the victim drive to where his drug dealer was located, and he also made the victim drink some whiskey he had purchased. The victim said she didn't remember anything until waking up the next morning. According to the complaint, the victim's phone, used by the defendant several times, was used to search for the defendant's mother as well as inmates in several county court systems. Police say surveillance video shows the defendant purchasing items at several convenience stores.
On Nov. Officers tried to stop Olson but he decided to try to run away. Eventually, Olson stopped running away and officers took him into custody. Police say there were burglaries in the area of 35th Street, where Olson was arrested, according to the complaint. Franklin police said last week, Olson forced a year-old woman into her car and stole her credit cards and cash.
