An extract from my next book. At some point in time during this brief experience we call life, many will need to be rescued. That may mean being rescued from ourselves, from each other, from pain, from captivity, or from inhumane cruelty. Whatever the moment, the experience or event, there will inevitably be the need of an intervention to bring an end to the suffering, there will be a need for RESCUE.
That intervention may be Nature working it's miraculous magic, it may be Angelic intervention, it may simply be the recognition and empathic understanding of one entity for the suffering, pain, distress and needs of another. Regardless of species disparities, regardless of the danger, regardless of the demand on time and personal commitments, regardless of the cost, this empathy drives one sentient being to commit to rescuing another.
Nature's Miracles and Angelic intervention occurrences are unpredictable, unfathomable and amazing. However the empathic understanding of one sentient being for the needs and suffering of another sentient being is equally unpredictable, unfathomable, amazing and immensely powerful. This power is greater than all obstacles which lie before the rescuer, because it emanates from the most powerful energy, LOVE.
Our work throughout the years has brought us a great deal of joy, sadness and at times, frustration and anger. The plight and pain of many dogs throughout the world suffering through neglect and cruelty is heartbreaking and yet it is in this world where we find some of the most caring, driven and dedicated people, intervening and advocating on behalf of those dogs needing help, in very hostile conditions and environments both here in the UK and abroad.
We have over the years been priveleged to get to know and work alongside several Rescues and Charities, this has involved assisting in Remedial Training and Rehabilitation of Dogs and also Fundraising on behalf of numerous Charities and groups who work both in the UK and Abroad.
