Some might say Temple University has earned another notch on its belt, with nearly people signing up to become a 'Sugar Baby' in , the North Philly campus topped the list. More than a thousand Temple Owls are now signed up on the website SeekingArrangement. They could also provide mentorship and job opportunities, in addition to any agreed upon romantic relationship or companionship.
College students on campus are not new to the concept, as Temple ranked 4th on the list in The State of New Jersey has released a half-million dollars to 37 police departments, including 10 in South Jersey, to provide body cameras for police officers. Seven departments in Burlington County and three in Gloucester County are included in this second round of grants. Last year, 44 local departments in the tri-county area took advantage of the offer.
Pair those efforts with putting cams on every state trooper and it's thought about half the cops in New Jersey are now equipped with them. The state has left it to individual departments to decide if the cameras are a good fit for them. The boards of commissioners in both Chester and Montgomery counties are now headed up by women.
Michelle Kichline recently became the third chairwoman of the Chester County board of commissioners, and with Kathi Cozzone as her vice chair, it marks the first time two women hold the top positions in the county's government. Kichline says she works to encourage more women to consider politics. In Montgomery County, Val Arkoosh is the county's first chairwoman, rising to the position after Josh Shapiro stepped down following his election as Pennsylvania Attorney General.
