When it comes to the entertainment world, it seems like it is always going to be hard to write an ending that will satisfy everyone: especially if it is a series or multiple films, where fans have really spent time getting to know the characters and get to enjoy their journeys. This is why when comes to famous and successful trilogies in the movie world, the third and final film is usually considered the weakest one or, at the very least, has an ending that gets some kind of criticism.
But in other ways, there is some truth to it, because a lot of final installments can feel rushed as they try to put all of the pieces together, but even bloated at the same time due to needing more time to fit it all in before the credits role.
But compared to the previous installments, they can simply feel like they are lacking on some levels. This seems to be the case for The Dark Knight Rises.
But even if one where to look past all of the hype, massive expectations, and that real-life tragedy, there is no denying that The Dark Knight Rises is admittedly flawed. That said, thanks to some great, unique direction, fantastic acting, and a continued willingness to not shy away from doing something different, the film still manages to thrill and delight more times than not.
