Yes, I am finally sharing this yarn on the blog as promised in my third podcast episode. It had to wait til the holiday crazy was over but here it is. During Knit Picks annual yarn sale around Thanksgiving and my birthday I went a little crazy and walked away with some serious wool piggery.
I have no regrets. At least one of these sweater quantities is destined to become the Featherweight by Hannah Fettig if not two. I am so in love with my Underwing Mitts which I am wearing as I type this that I had to snag some of the heavily discounted colorways that I love in the hopes to knit more mitts. Besides yarn I picked up some needles. I knew I needed some additional interchangeable tips for my set and decided to wait until I ordered from Knit Picks so these were a must.
I really wanted something in the new Radiant wood so I was happy this was available. Finally I got a project bag with a promo they had going on. Along with that I have one more item. I actually got this tote bag as a birthday gift from my fellow birthday buddy we share the same birthday.
She knows I love yarn and I squealed when I opened this. Truth be told this entire haul has been shoved in this tote until I could photograph it so now I can finally use it for projects! It was so worth it. Excuse me while I go dream up all of the new sweater projects. As many of you know I have been agonizing over a sweater cast-on for ages. Well, I finally bit the bullet and cast on and I am so excited to see what happens.
The pattern I cast on is Vistoire by Emily Ringelman. I actually won the pattern on a giveaway on her blog ages ago and never got around to casting it on. It only took me a year to decide perhaps since I chose this pattern to win to begin with perhaps that means I should knit it considering I like it a lot. That counts, right? I think so. Yes, this post is as it states, a show of wool piggery in its purest form.
