CBT is a short-term, goal-oriented talking therapy that takes a practical approach to problem-solving. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions.
When doing CBT, you will work with your therapist to find new ways of dealing with problems, and set goals for what you want to change. We have helped many hundreds of clients feel more in control of their lives through CBT. We are all fully accredited members of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. Impossible Mental Health Limited is fully insured both professionally and clinically with Zurich Insurance.
The fee includes additional time for your therapist to prepare before and document after your session. CBT is a short term therapy. Treatment usually requires between 8 and 20 weekly sessions. Deborah leads our team and is a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. She also has specialisms in young people, neurodiversity and EMDR. Michael works with a wide range of mental health disorders including depression, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and specific phobias.
He appreciates the genuine distress felt by people experiencing problems with their mental health and is interested in evidenced based interventions which can bring real change and relief.
Neil has over 12 years experience working with adults in a range of therapeutic settings such as GP surgeries, NHS and the charity sector as well as here at impossible mental health. In that time he has used both short and longer term interventions to help clients reduce symptoms for a wide range of mental health disorders and improve their experience of day to day life.
