In 30, Feet , Raph is up in the air and Astrid is on unfamiliar ground when a serial killer is himself murdered. Can she solve the murder before the plane lands and the suspects scatter? At this stage, we assume that the plot will have Raph solving the crime before the plane lands, with Astrid helping only from afar β but no, the plane lands safely, and Raph and Astrid visit the recovering Bourgoin in hospital. Astrid, meanwhile, has been getting closer to Tetsuo β he wants her to try playing the Japanese board game Go, but as Astrid points out, this is not a puzzle of the sort she likes, but a contest between two people, with too many unpredictable factors.
Of course, it is Astrid whose research establishes that there must have been two people attempting to kill Noisay, and one of them for reasons nothing to do with his crimes. This episode really has everything β a bizarre death, a convoluted plot, some changes of scenery, Fournier being ingenious, Raph making an even further hash of her love life, and Astrid developing a deeper connection with Tetsuo. But next week goes all X-Files again, so allons-nous!
