I already looked on Bison but coudnt find route planner, and maps in truck 3 hours from home, I knew someone on here would have the info I wanted. It was an arduous route, but the scenery was something to write home about, especially in the winter. Have a safe journey. Well done Steve for the feedback on your trip. Glad it went ok. The route in France before the border was very scenic. Green valleys through twisty roads. It was similar to Switzerland or Austria. I fancied going over Somport, but I was taking a Race Transport trailer, very low, Tandem axle that really cuts the corners, I collected Race car from factory near Pau, and the factory truck driver advised not to use the pass, I was on a tight schedule and couldnt afford any delay so went usual route, Irun etc, I sometimes get down that way on bike and will make a point of checking it out for future trips.
But Northern Spain is better. Vigo and Galicia areas has some fabulous beaches. Green mountains. Great local dishes. Thanks for your advice Steve.
