I am an adoption competent therapist who graduated from the accredited Training for Adoption Competency. My clients are mostly adult adoptees and foster and adoptive parents seeking support and doing their own work. I also work with physicians, scientists, clergy, executives, immigrants, professional athletes, and other therapists and clinicians. I often work with intercultural and interracial couples seeking a more conscious, connected relationship. I always enjoy working with readers, thinkers, questioners, and list-makers β whose who are intentional about their therapeutic journey.
I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling degree at Ball State University in ; however, both therapeutically and personally, I am committed to never stop learning and growing. I am regularly reading half a dozen non-fiction books at a time, many due directly to a client need. Transracial adoptees. Birth mothers. Racial Identity Development. Racial Trauma. I am a therapist, author, speaker, and educator. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who currently works with clients who reside in the state of Texas.
Throughout my career I have used my education and experiences to help others develop themselves personally and professionally. I consider myself a lifetime learner who loves learning formally through research and training and informally from my interactions with people. I have lived and traveled all over the world, and love to experience new places and cultures.
