Recreation registration happens seasonally and begins for St. John's residents on a specified date. Non-resident registration usually starts several days later. Registration is completed through RECconnect. Participants will receive a confirmation email from RECconnect once registered. The City does not request payment through email, text or third party applications.
We will make every reasonable effort to contact patrons when we must cancel or change a program. We announce cancellations. Sign up for electronic updates. If you usually register for several programs at once or register for popular programs such as swimming or summer camps, you will want to use the wish list feature.
There is no limit on the number of courses you can add to your wish list. We accept cash, debit, or credit card. We need payment in full at the time of registration. We do not accept pre-authorized payments or post-dated cheques. After that, we can only issue a refund or credit for a medical reason which prohibits continued participation in the program.
Send a medical note with the form before the program end date. We do not issue refunds or credits for classes missed due to illness, lost or stolen passes, or requests submitted after the program end date. Submitting the request for refund form does not automatically guarantee a refund. If you are requesting a refund for the September After School Program, submit a refund request prior to August 1.
After School Program refunds for October through June must be submitted 30 days prior to the withdraw date. Families registering more than two children for the same program for a given week can apply for a family discount. Complete the form and submit before the program end date to get the family discount.
