A Seward woman has died after being shot multiple times Saturday night, allegedly inflicted by a man she had a protection order against. Seward County dispatch responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the block of North 2nd Street in Seward at approximately p.
Saturday, according to a news release by the Nebraska State Patrol. Officers on the scene witnessed an adult male leaving the residence with what appeared "to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officers located a deceased female inside the residence, who has been identified as Jamie Hagen, Hagen sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
They also located a juvenile inside the home, according to the release. The juvenile made the call, but was unharmed by Kindt. After the Nebraska State Patrol was called for a homicide investigation, investigators found that the suspect and victim had previously been in a relationship and that Hagen had since been granted a protection order against Kindt.
