With the fact that all of them were way out of town and had names like "Lions Den", it all sounded extremely sketchy and at least one, if not all there might have been more might have been fronts for prostitution. So what happened to them? I'm guessing they were eventually shut down by the state but when? Were they really prostitution fronts, or just something that happened to get the hammer by the state?

The OP was referring to the scads of places that used to dot south Hwy.

I grew up outside of San Antonio and we'd drive in on I starting out about 20 miles outside, and on both sides of the highway would be a "massage parlor" every quarter mile until you got closer to city limits. Setup for truck drivers to relieve stress. Joined: Feb 16, If I remember correctly those massage parlors were run by a ex mob guy that had been moved down here by the FBI under the witness protection program I guess he couldn't give up the "life" afterall It's also probable that Lady T's go legitimate later on.
