Never has there been such a need for caring as there is today. No experience or prior training is necessary. As a volunteer, you choose a position that fits your schedule and that's right for you.
For students currently enrolled in a college program and working toward a health care career. Students should have completed at least two semesters of course work as a full-time student and have a GPA of at least 2. This program offers local teens a unique opportunity during the summer for community service and exploration of medical careers in an environment of commitment and responsibility.
The annual Junior Volunteer program is for young adults age 14 through 17, who are sufficiently mature to be a part of the day-to-day activities of a busy health care provider.
Positions are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications must be completed and returned to the Volunteer office by the date specified. Those accepted will be required to attend an orientation session to begin the summer and will be expected to participate throughout the summer.
