I just started playing Divinity original sin 2 and I'm really enjoying it, amazing game! I have an important question though! I don't like spoilers in general, so please keep them to a minimum in your answers, but I know from a friend that at a certain point in the story, companions that I don't have active in my party should die.
Then they might appear as ghosts, maybe I have to fight them And I can't choose them as companions anymore. So I took that into account and started playing I've only been in the game for about ten hours now, I'm still at the beginning of Fort Joy - but yesterday I found a mention on the internet that a change was made in the definitive edition by Larian studios, and that companions that I don't have active shouldn't die at that particular story point.
And that I should then find them again, be able to take them into the party if I want and finish their story quests normally. Is there anyone here who has played the definitive edition recently who can confirm or deny this claim? I've only found old discussions on the internet that don't mention anything like that, but those discussions are from years when this update supposedly hadn't been released yet. Once you transition past that point in the ship, the others will be lost. That should be more than enough information for work with. Originally posted by Chaoslink :. Last edited by dave.
