The modern business park arises on the approx. It offers more than 72, sqm of rental space, distributed over 5 buildings. Flexible rental units can be divided from a size of sqm to 30, sqm. With an innovative, sustainable concept that holds great potential for a high number of new jobs in a wide range of industries, and high-quality architecture, MLP Group and the City of Gelsenkirchen aim to create a new future for a traditional site in the Schalke district.
The project on the former Thyssen wire plant is thus continuing to progress according to plan. On August 30 th , , the City of Gelsenkirchen announced the approval of the project-related development plan for the new business park. This was agreed unanimously by the municipal council on July 4 th , , together with the resolution on the implementation agreement.
With an innovative, sustainable concept for the development of a multi-user business park, the developer and the City of Gelsenkirchen want to jointly create a new future for a traditional site in the Schalke-Nord district.
With the project-related development plan, the MLP Group aims to make the largely derelict site of the old Thyssen wire plant usable again by attracting a balanced mix of industries. The property will primarily be let to companies for the production, processing, storage and distribution of various commercial goods as well as industrial and consumer goods. Small and medium-sized enterprises SMEs in particular will be favoured.
In the east of the business park, space will also be provided for local service and craft businesses. The new warehouses focus on both ecological aspects such as the efficient use of resources and sociological aspects such as the creation of a healthy, attractive workplace and environment.
