To give you a little background, I live in L. I work in public education, but have been looking for work in other school districts and other venues besides education, and currently have a lead on a job in the OC area.
I don't know where, exactly, in OC I'd be working if I got the job, since that info is not shared in the job description. That's why I'd be interested on info for a variety of areas in OC.
Santa Ana has a lot of lower socio-economic areas, as does possibly Garden Grove, Orange, and Anaheim. Also maybe Cypress, Brea and La Habra? I know almost next to nothing about these areas. Maybe they're not comprised of all lower socio-economic neighborhoods, but have some areas that are?
Since I don't know, I'd love to get some opinions from the locals. Even though I've lived in L. I don't do the mall thing so much any more. I'm willing to deal with a laundry room if that's all I can find, but I'd prefer laundry in my own space.
I also like on-site parking, preferably covered or in a secured area. If I have to rent an apartment, I will, but I currently live in a duplex and like the luxury of having fewer neighbors. I also live in a lower socio-economic neighborhood, which is all I can afford in L.
