He strives to discern the intrinsic qualities of place and approaches landscape as the most appropriate way of responding to the programme. His preferred projects are the regeneration of landscapes through reconciling transportation and environment. From , Michele alternated his professional career between training and practice. He taught in Italy as design studio master while completing a doctorate on Architectural Design for Mediterranean Countries and was commissioned to undertake the urban regeneration of La Piazza del Duomo in Messina, Sicily.
In , he joined the Viguier practice in Paris. On returning to the Parisian office in , Michele became a partner and took charge of architecture and team management of mixed use, public and private projects.
