For Sheriff Jeff Dawsy, he hopes solutions come sooner, rather than later. Dawsy and several others talked recently to members of the Chronicle Editorial Board about space needs, months after some, like Administra- tive Judge Patricia Thomas, said they had run out of room.
The judge said things are only going to get worse with popula- tion growth and the demand for services. Several constitutional offi- cers, including Supervisor of Elections Susan Gill, were to appear before the county com- mission last Tuesday to discuss their latest concerns. The meeting had to be rescheduled because of Tropical Storm Alberto, and a new date has not been decided.
