Hannah has done an excellent job for the diocese for the last three seasons at Duncan Park as an Adventure Guide for two years and most recently as Interim Co-Director. A graduate from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies, Hannah and has extensive leadership experience and knowledge and training in the outdoors. Hannah has also worked as a Psychiatric Technician with Boulder Health, serving along side doctors and nurses in the care of low to high acute mental health patients.
I am confident that through the beauty of this Christian community, I will excel in leading Duncan Park. I am thrilled to continue to dedicate my knowledge and experience to Duncan Park for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas as your new Director!
Existing completely off-the-grid with solar panels providing electricity, no cell phone service, and water from its well, this facility captures the rugged beauty of the surrounding mountains and allows for a true respite from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Summer Camp at Duncan Park offers opportunities for people with a variety of ages and experience levels with sessions for high school youth, college students, and adults. Summer Camp sessions include round-trip airfare from San Antonio to Denver, where an Adventure Guide will meet the group and drive them to Duncan Park. Duncan Park is also open for retreat reservations from churches, families, and other groups to host a retreat where participants can reconnect with each other, with the beauty of God's creation, and with their relationship with Christ.
The Lodge is the main gathering site on campus. In this big red building, the front door opens into a large living room complete with comfortable couches, tables for dining, a ping pong table, and best of all, a fireplace. To the left of this living room is the spacious kitchen, ready to provide nourishing meals.
