Only on Chapter 4 but so far, I'm disappointed with the game in general. This was a blow for me. I did not expect to basically straight up dislike the game as a whole. I do like Queens Blood and I'm hanging on the story elements which are somewhat interesting, but so far Open world is ehh.
Too "ubisoft-like" as some of described it. I'm just kinda like bleh with most things tbh idk The game has too many slow moments. Move the mako machine painfully slow, turn the wheel painfully slow, crawl painfully slow, sniff around with chocobos in a clunky and slow, jagged manner, NPCs legit talk slower for some damn reason, moving the carts out of the way painfully slowly in Mythril Mine, etcetcetc NPCs are kinda boring now. I used to love Chadley. Now I find him boring and annoying Mai literally interrupts you when you're trying to battle enemies.
I literally can't hear her speaking because she'll just ramble on and on and on when I'm trying to fight the enemy she's rambling on about. Finally, I cave in and just attack the enemy cuz she won't stop talking and she just keeps talking while the sounds of swords clashing and guns going off clash with her voice There's too much going on. Between Mai blabbling, Chadley blabbling and them interrupting each other annoyingly , NPCs literally waffling, synergy skills being added even tho I feel like the way they were fleshed out was kinda bleh and I feel forced to use them in order to level up limit breaks and build party relations and among many other things, I just feel like this game is quite simply all over the damn place to be honest They changed the combat system too much.
Personally preferred Remake's combat system. I do like that Cloud can shoot mako beams and has aerial combat but that's Basically the only real thing I like about the new combat. Everything else is basically a weird large step back imo I don't like the new weapon upgrade system. Remake's was way better imo Don't really care much for how they fleshed out folios honestly.
Remake's manuscripts were way better For some reason, the camera is weirder in Rebirth. Idk if I'm just tripping with this or what but the way the camera moves around when during certain scenes, when I'm trying to fight etc is all wacky and weird now and I'll find myself feeling like I'm battling enemies while having this weird view of my characters' feet or something. Don't know how to describe this but like I said previously, just feels like too much is going on and this adds to it Not sure how I feel about how the game started.
